Control Room Operator (San Martín)

Mission

At Zelestra, we are looking for a Control Room Operator Technician whose mission will be to operate the solar park and the substation, focusing on optimizing production, availability KPIs, and performance, in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety standards, internal guidelines, applicable regulations, and procedures.

Additionally, the candidate must have knowledge of plant and substation equipment (inverters, tracking systems, protection relays) and be able to prepare and/or review fault/maintenance reports, as well as maintain communication with the park’s internal clients. All of this must be carried out with a strong awareness of the risks present in the parks, how to prevent them, and how to respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Use and maintain operational control systems.
• Record and understand incidents occurring in the solar park.
• Prepare and/or review maintenance reports.
• Maintain effective and timely communication with supervisors, the team, and stakeholders.
• Operate the plant following the O&M manual and the system operator’s requirements.
• Maintain constant coordination with the Remote Operations Center (ROC) and intervene in equipment as per established requirements.
• Report operational and corrective events to the ROC and the team in real time.
• Comply with all regulations and procedures related to Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety.
• Assist in reviewing warehouse supplies, stock, spare parts, and consumables.
• Submit periodic information reports, either in report format or through a defined system.
• Actively contribute to integrating health and safety within the work environment.

Job Requirements

• Technical diploma.
• Intermediate proficiency in office software tools.
• Knowledge of communication systems, SCADA, and video surveillance.
• At least 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance tasks, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Availability to work on shift system.
