Plant Supervisor (San Martin)

Mission
At Zelestra, we are looking for a Solar Plant Supervisor, whose mission will be to participate in defining the maintenance plan for San Martin and oversee its timely and efficient implementation, leading the teams operating at the plant under their responsibility.
In this role, the candidate will coordinate the overall service management of the photovoltaic solar energy project under their responsibility, maintaining fluid and constant communication with key stakeholders, such as other Zelestra departments, contractors, and other relevant parties. All of this is aimed at optimizing regional results and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality parameters defined by the organization, in line with contractual conditions and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the project's technical contracts, including PPA, Interconnection Agreement, Electrical Grid Code, Operation and Maintenance Agreement, and technical aspects derived from financial contracts.
- Lead the O&M team and subcontractors, coordinating the different supervisors.
- Monitor corrective maintenance activities and major incidents.
- Coordinate, centralize, and manage warranty claims with OEM manufacturers.
- Oversee the integration of the plant under supervision, ensuring the receipt of documentation, contracts, and provisional acceptance certificates.
- Ensure compliance with O&M contract guarantees.
- Coordinate and ensure the successful completion of EPC final acceptance tests.
- Supervise and approve major equipment purchases, ensure optimal stock management, and approve subcontractor selection.
- Analyze production data and incidents.
- Monitor project production and efficiency indicators, comparing technical performance against contractual expectations.
- Prepare periodic production reports and incident tracking, in addition to presenting production results and efficiency indicators.
- Optimize department activities by reducing operational costs, maximizing PR, and minimizing downtime.
- Act as a liaison with market agents (Distributor, Energy Commission, System Operator, etc.), coordinating energy dispatch and managing incidents and access conflicts.
- Promote a safety culture and ensure that the team adopts the necessary measures to perform their work under safe conditions.
- Take all necessary actions within the scope of management to contribute to achieving the safety, health, and environmental objectives set by the company, integrating preventive measures into daily operations
Job Requirements
- Electrical Engineer or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in solar plants.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in leadership roles within operations and maintenance in the renewable energy sector (mandatory).
- Intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Availability to travel frequently within the area of responsibility and to headquarters.
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- SCADA / Substation SCADA / Tracker Systems
- Relay Configuration Software
- IV Curves Analysis
- Thermographic Inspections
- Valid driver’s license
