RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Price and structure complex products for clients (baseload PPAs backed by renewable portfolios, fixed profiles, BESS tolling agreements, etc)
  • Lead internal cross-functional teams (origination, business development, project finance, legal) to be able to deliver results to clients on-time
  • Coordinate approvals and prepare decks explaining transactions
  • Ideally “own” and manage portfolio exposures generated by the transactions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Mathematics; MBA or advanced degree desirable
  • 8-10 years of experience in US power markets (particularly ERCOT, MISO)
  • Experience in statistical analysis and ideally price modelling
  • PPA / Product structuring
  • Market and credit risk
  • Ideally experience of hedging power or gas exposures through derivatives or physical products
  • Experience as a member of the leadership team within one or more organizations, preferably within the renewable-energy field.
  • Requires Intimate knowledge of the energy, and if possible renewable energy market, and the ability to stay current with changing technologies, regulations, and trends influencing the continued adoption of renewable energy.
  • In-depth understanding of the electricity and renewables sector in the USA
  • Commercial mindset, strong prioritization, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to quickly work into new tasks and accommodate with new circumstances in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – with the ability to communicate directly with representatives of the renewable-energy industry, investor-owned utilities, municipal utilities, co-ops, and corporates, financial institutions, project stakeholders, including governmental representatives, and members of the Solarpack team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
