Mission

Within the tax department, ensure Zelestra’s tax compliance in Spain and tax controlling, aligning with local and international tax regulations. Actively contribute to the tax function and tax reporting by optimizing tax procedures and by collaborating with cross-functional teams.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Tax Filing and Compliance: Prepare and file tax declarations required for Zelestra’s group entities in Spain, including, CIT, VAT, local taxes, excise duties, withholding taxes, etc. Monitor formal tax obligations for all group entities in Spain to ensure timely compliance. Coordinate with finance, accounting and business departments to extract necessary data to prepare and file returns, and ensure accurate tax records and supporting documentation. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of tax requirements into business operations.
  • Technological Solutions: Assist on the implementation of technological solutions to enhance the efficiency of tax functions and ensure compliance with digital reporting requirements (e.g., SII; Batuz). Contribute to improvements and optimization of the tax processes; data reconciliation and data analysis.
  • Transfer Pricing: Support on the coordination of transfer pricing studies in collaboration with external advisors and on the control of the supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations.
  •  Tax Reporting and Controls: Assist on the preparation of tax reporting and monitoring of tax controls for internal and external purposes. Perform reconciliations of key tax records, including VAT models and SII (Immediate Information Supply).
  • Audit and tax procedures: Provide continuous support in responding to tax audits and administrative requests. Ensure proper documentation and timely communication with tax authorities during audits or reviews. Respond to and track ongoing tax procedures and manage notifications from various Tax Administrations.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, or equivalent vocational training in Administration and Finance.
  • Desirable: Master’s degree in Taxation and solid accounting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with accounting and tax management processes in both the Spanish State Tax Agency and Regional Tax Authorities (e.g., Hacienda Foral).
  • Proficiency in office tools and financial ERP systems (SAP, etc.).
  • Medium English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Advanced user of Excel and with skills on data reconciliation and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Previous Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational company, in a law firm or tax services provider.
