Your Role 
 
As the Construction Procurement & Contract Specialist (f/m/x)  you will manage the end-to-end procurement process for construction services, supporting the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects. You will monitor market trends, conduct advanced analysis, negotiate contracts, and foster relationships with construction partners and internal teams. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for construction services across PV, Wind, and BESS projects in Germany 
  • Monitor cost trends and market environment; review project designs to identify potential savings opportunities 
  • Perform detailed analysis and modeling for construction services; support pricing strategies for new projects 
  • Manage several million euros in annual contract spend 
  • Negotiate project-specific contracts and framework agreements with suppliers and contractors 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within the German business unit, corporate functions in Spain, partners, and external stakeholders 
  • Establish best practices; continuously improve procurement and contract management processes 
  • Qualify potential construction companies; optimize and negotiate commercial and technical terms 
  • Maintain strong relationships with construction firms, key stakeholders, and business representatives 
  • Oversee the complete commercial process from tendering through project completion—including claim management and contract amendments 
  • Support other procurement activities within the German BU to ensure adherence to global procurement guidelines 

Job Requirements

  • Strong results-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach. 
  • Professional and effective communication skills, with  demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit  
  • Ability to manage complex problems involving multiple international stakeholders; capable of working independently and responsibly 
  • Quick adaptability and capacity to relate to new tasks effectively 
  • Several years’ experience in a similar role within the construction of Solar, Wind, or BESS projects 
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; experience with MS Project is advantageous 
  • Deep knowledge of renewable energy technologies and extensive experience in the construction market 
  • Proven track record in negotiations within dynamic, intercultural environments 
  • Positive “can-do” attitude with enthusiasm for continuous learning 
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time 
  • Business fluency in German and English required 
  • Strong analytical skills combined with excellent negotiation abilities 
  • Collaborative team player with a strong commitment to teamwork and partnership 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Procurement, or a comparable professional qualification
