Your Role
In your role as Engineering Manager (f/m/x), you play a key and fundamental role for Zelestra in Germany. You are responsible for the management of all engineering tasks during the planning and construction phase of our Solar, Wind and Bess projects in Germany. You will work within a small team of dedicated colleagues and set the steps for scale up of business.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering efforts for PV, wind, and BESS projects from conceptual design through to operational handover in Germany.
- Support project development and M&A teams during project stages.
- Manage, coordinate, assign, and control all engineering tasks (mechanical, electrical, civil, grid-related) internally and externally to develop holistic and commercially optimized power plant/BESS designs.
- Conduct site visits or evaluate reports to understand site constraints and risks affecting planning and execution.
- Support procurement processes by reviewing site studies and ensuring their integration into design considerations.
- Perform yield simulations and energy forecasting; optimize plant layout for maximum performance and IRR.
- Review design packages for project phases such as development, M&A, planning, and ready-to-build.
- Provide technical documentation for contract drafting, tendering, and construction.
- Interface with headquarters in Spain—collaborate with procurement and engineering departments.
- Support component selection by engaging with suppliers; finalize technical specifications.
- Conduct technical due diligence during M&A activities; liaise with technical advisors.
- Assist during project execution by providing design inputs and BOMs for milestones like NTP, Mechanical Completion, COD, and PAC.
- Manage procurement specifications for components and subcontractor tenders.
- Oversee As-Built documentation alongside procurement and construction teams to produce operation manuals.
- Support O&M teams with warranty management and operational issue resolution.
Job Requirements

- Proven experience in renewable energy projects within Germany.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, PVCase, and PVsyst.
- Business fluency in German and English.
- Degree in engineering, renewable energies, or a related field focusing on energy technology or infrastructure. anty management and operational issue resolution.
