Your Role
In your role as Grid Connection Manager, you play a key and fundamental role for Zelestra in Germany from the the conceptual phase until the operation of our Solar, Wind and BESS projects in Germany. You will work within a small team of dedicated colleagues and set the steps for scale up of business.
Responsibilities
- Participate in in our German renewable energy projects from the conceptual phase until the operation.
- Take on engineering and design of grid connections on our utility-scale projects (PV, Wind and BESS).
- Support the project development and M&A team with technical & commercial expertise during the early stages of projects.
- Qualify and manage external engineering consultants.
- Specify and coordinate the technical and commercial aspects of tendering interconnection infrastructure projects (power transformers, substations, AIS/GIS switchgears, cable routes, overhead lines) to subcontractors.
- Coordinate subcontractors during design and execution of the projects in cooperation with the on-site team.
- Aggregating, managing, and producing documentation and information for internal and external stakeholders.
- Meet with utilities and stakeholders for technical & commercial discussions.
- Coordination and communication with third party technical advisors.
Job Requirements
- Academic degree in electrical engineering, renewable energies or similar with a focus on energy technology.
- Experience in the field of grid connection of power plants from medium up to extra-high voltage level in Germany.
- Competent use of MS Office applications.
- Knowledge in grid compliance studies and usage of simulation software (PowerFactory or PSS/E) are welcome.
- Ability to handle complex problems with multiple stakeholders, to work independently and under one’s own responsibility, capacity to quickly adapt and relate to new tasks.
- Positive “can-do” attitude and enthusiasm to learn.
- Business fluent in German and English.
- Strong willingness to teamwork and collaborate.
- Passion to lead the World towards a clean energy future.
