Your Role

We are seeking an experienced Project  Manager (f/m/x) to lead our renewable energy projects, primarily focusing on Solar PV, Windpower  and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will be responsible for driving project execution to maximize results aligned with company goals while ensuring safety, timeliness, contractual compliance, and adherence to internal policies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary representative of Zelestra on external stakeholder engagements—including public institutions, local communities, landlords, lenders, and independent engineers—and be ultimately accountable for successful project completion and increasing shareholder value.
  • Control relationships with all external interfaces; ensure effective communication within internal departments for seamless project delivery.
  • Guarantee projects are completed according to Purchase Power Agreements (PPAs), contractual requirements, environmental/social regulations, licenses, and internal policies.
  • Oversee signing and execution of key contracts such as EPC, supply agreements, O&M agreements, asset management contracts, financial agreements, and development agreements. Secure necessary resources and organize project teams with clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Track KPIs related to safety, quality, schedule, and budget. Implement corrective actions promptly. Develop risk management plans; continuously review risks and opportunities to optimize project performance.
  • Manage projects from advanced development through hand-over to commercial operation. Drive process improvements based on feedback.
  • Collaborate with planning teams to develop schedules; support finance during funding processes; monitor financial KPIs; identify deviations and implement corrective measures.

Job Requirements

  • Strong results and customer focus, combined with innovative and robust management skills, particularly in the area of budgeting.
  • Several years professional experience in project management or executive roles within renewable energy or related sectors.
  • Proven success in organizing and leading multiple teams/departments simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning and executing large-scale initiatives.
  • Background in business development, EPC construction management, or project financing.
  • Electrical/Grid Engineering or Grid Development expertise is a plus.
  • MS Project or similar Time Scheduling Tool is a plus.
  • Excellent report-writing skills with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related field
