Mission

We are looking for a motivated Data Scientist to join our dynamic team, working on developing advanced Asset Performance Management solutions for solar plants and wind farms.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Model Development & Analysis: Build, test, and deploy time-series models for solar and wind energy generation forecasting. Work on asset performance models to monitor and predict equipment performance, lifetime, and maintenance needs. Collaborate with senior data scientists to improve model accuracy and performance.
  • LLM and Image-Based Modelling: Utilize large language models (LLM) to develop solutions related to asset management and optimization. Build visualization models for cloud tracking and analysis using satellite or drone imagery to improve solar plant performance.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Position Title Data Scientist Department DICI/ Digital BU Location Gurgaon (India). Create compelling visualizations to communicate insights from data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Build dashboards and reporting tools using cloud-based visualization platforms to track and monitor key performance metrics of renewable energy assets. First-hand experience of working with Amazon QuickSight or Microsoft’s PowerBI.
  • Data Management & Collaboration: Work with large datasets from various sources, including IoT data from wind turbines and solar panels, using cloud storage solutions like AWS S3 and Azure Blob Storage. Maintain version control for models and data pipelines using Git and GitHub.
  • Model Deployment & Monitoring: Collaborate with engineers to deploy models in real-time environments using cloud infrastructure like AWS or Azure. Implement monitoring and maintenance pipelines for deployed models to ensure continuous improvement and performance tracking.

 

 

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building time-series forecasting models, particularly in the context of renewable energy. You will work closely with our data scientists and engineers to deploy data-driven solutions, focusing on asset performance optimization, cloud tracking using image data, and leveraging large language models (LLM) for innovative solutions.   • Experience: 3-6 years of experience as a data scientist or similar role, preferably with experience in time-series modelling. Hands-on experience with Python, R, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in building and deploying time-series forecasting models. Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn. Experience with Git and version control systems for collaborative work.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for data storage and processing. Knowledge of working with cloud-based data lakes or data warehouses (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage).
  • Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including engineers and data scientists. Strong communication skills for translating technical insights into actionable business strategies.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Renewable Energy Sector: Experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly with solar and wind energy data, is a strong plus.
  • LLM & Image-Based Analysis: Experience utilizing large language models (LLMs) and building image-based models for cloud tracking or asset performance optimization.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in data science or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) would be an added advantage.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with asset management models and predictive maintenance strategies in industrial settings. Experience with satellite or drone image processing tools for cloud tracking.
