MAKING DECARBONIZATION A REALITY

Mission:

Wind Energy BOP Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of Balance of Plant (BOP) components and services essential for the successful implementation of wind energy projects. This role involves managing the entire procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management, ensuring that all procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for BOP components, including foundations, electrical infrastructure, roads, and other supporting infrastructure.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and contractors. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure high performance and reliable delivery.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, cost control, and compliance with project specifications and legal requirements.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions while maintaining quality and reliability of BOP components and services.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with project schedules and technical requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate supplier performance, conducting regular reviews and implementing corrective actions as necessary to address performance gaps.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices to inform procurement strategies and decisions. 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, (Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical).
  • 8-10 years of proven experience in procurement, particularly within the wind energy sector or a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of BOP components and services for wind energy projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple procurement projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy regulations and standards.
