EPC Planning Specialist

Mission
Reporting to the Planning and Control Senior Manager, this position will lead project planning in Southern Europe (Spain & Italy) and Latin America (Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador). The role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure that all phases of the project are completed on time. Your role is critical in coordinating with various departments and stakeholders to track progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Responsibilities
1. Initial Project Planning:
- Develop high-level project schedules for all projects using Primavera P6, MS Project, and other relevant tools, based on established procedures set by the project management team or company standards.
2. Comprehensive Project Understanding:
- Gain a thorough understanding of the project lifecycle from origination to Commercial Operation Date (COD) to ensure accurate scheduling and timely project completion.
3. Contractual Schedule Management:
- For third-party EPC projects, incorporate the project schedule into the contract, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on key deadlines.
- For internal projects, maintain the schedule as a critical reference to avoid delays that could negatively impact the company’s financial results.
4. Facilitating Cross-Departmental Communication:
- Act as the central point of communication between engineering, procurement, and construction teams, ensuring they provide timely updates on their progress.
- Monitor and track project timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and promptly address any delays by coordinating with relevant teams.
5. Schedule Updates and Critical Path Analysis:
- Regularly update project schedules for the Program Director or Investment Committee, ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected.
- Identify critical paths within the project schedules, evaluate different scenarios, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
6. Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) Compliance:
- Collaborate to ensure the achievement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) objectives and goals set by management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, manuals, and procedures impacting your work.
7. Regulatory and Procedural Adherence:
- Stay informed about and comply with all regulations, manuals, and procedures that affect your role, ensuring that all scheduling activities meet both company and legal standards.
Job Requirements
TRAINING AND KNOWLEDGE
- Master Degree in Industrial Engineering / Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering
- Proven experience as a Project Planner in industrial projects or photovoltaic plants for at least 3 years.
- Language: Advanced English – C1/B2
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project...)
- Expertise in MS Project
- Expertise in Primavera P6

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3+ years‘experience for EPC utility solar or renewable construction industry;
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic environment.
- Solar industry experience.
