Mission

Reporting to the Investments Manager Spain, in Zelestra we are looking for an Investments Associate/Senior Analyst.

Your mission will be to support Zelestra’s Business Development, Commercial, Project Financing and M&A teams in the modelling and financial structuring of renewable energy assets.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility on the financial model together with the asset/project valuation and ability to implement the changes required to run any business scenario to analyze projects viability. Creation, updating and maintenance of financial models for each project.
  • Support the Project Finance team when structuring the deal with the potential lenders: modelling, teaser/infomemo preparation, due diligence and contract negotiations.
  • Support Business Development team on the valuation evolution of the portfolio assets and potential investment opportunities that will arise.
  • Advise and support our Commercial team to assess the required energy sale price required to meet at least our minimum return IRRs.
  • Participate in the elaboration of the presentations to the Investment Committee and the Board of Directors for investment approvals.
  • Support Zelestra’s central areas for reporting purposes.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or MSc. Engineering.
  • Knowledge of financing in the "Project Finance" modality.
  • High level of both spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Visual Basic) and SQL database management will be valued.
  • Use of Reuters tools and valuation of interest rate derivatives.
  • +5 years in transactional areas of corporate finance or investment banking in financial institution, consulting, or industrial company.
  • Experience in creating and updating complex financial models such as infrastructure / renewable energy (solar, wind, BESS).
  • Financial model expertise, modelling best practices and project financing will be highly valued.
  • High work capacity and interest in learning and developing professionally.
  • Proactive person with the ability to learn and communicate transparently with the whole organization.
