Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Manager to lead land acquisition, title, and real estate risk management efforts for our utility-scale renewable energy projects nationwide. This role will be central to securing land rights, navigating complex title and mineral issues, and supporting the development of solar, wind, and energy storage assets from origination through commercial operation

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Environmental Science, Energy, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 5 years of real estate or land acquisition experience, preferably in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or utility sector. 
  • Strong understanding of real estate law, title insurance, zoning, permitting, and land use regulations. 
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex real estate transactions. 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Willingness to travel regionally/nationally as needed. 

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Experience with solar, wind, or energy storage projects. 
  • Familiarity with GIS tools and land database systems (e.g., ArcGIS, PVProspect). 
  • Experience working with rural landowners and agricultural properties. 

Responsibility

Land Acquisition & Negotiation 

  • Source and secure suitable sites for renewable energy development across diverse U.S. markets. 
  • Negotiate land lease, purchase, easement, crossing and option agreements directly with landowners, land agents, utilities and other representatives. 
  • Build trust-based relationships with rural and agricultural landowners. 

 

Title & Mineral Due Diligence

  • Review and manage title commitments, ALTA surveys, mineral ownership reports, and curative actions 
  • Identify and resolve real estate risks (e.g., mineral severances, easement conflicts, lien issues). 
  • Coordinate with legal counsel and title insurers to secure bankable title and appropriate endorsements 

 

Portfolio & Risk Management 

  • Maintain a real estate asset register including key terms, expiration dates, obligations, and renewals. 
  • Track and manage project-specific title and real estate risks across a growing multi-market portfolio. 
  • Ensure data integrity and audit readiness across all land documentation. 

 

Cross-Functional Project Support  

  • Serve as the primary real estate liaison across development, legal, engineering, permitting, and finance teams. 
  • Support land entitlement, interconnection, and construction-readiness milestones. 
  • Provide real estate inputs for M&A, co-development, and due diligence efforts 

 

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Represent the company in meetings with landowners, local officials, and community stakeholders. 
  • Support outreach strategies to build local support and facilitate permitting.

The salary for this position typically ranges from minimum to mid-point annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
