Mission
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Developer to support the planning and execution of solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage (BESS) projects in Italy. In this entry-level role, you will assist senior developers in coordinating permitting, site assessment, interconnection, stakeholder communications, budgeting and regulatory compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch a career in the renewable energy sector with hands-on exposure to utility-scale clean energy development.
Responsibilities
• Assist with the identification and evaluation of potential sites for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects
• Support environmental and permitting due diligence processes (zoning, land use, grid constraints, etc.)
• Coordinate with landowners, consultants, and internal teams on project documentation
• Help prepare and submit applications for interconnection, permitting, and regulatory approvals
• Track project development milestones, budgets, and timelines
• Conduct research on local and regional regulations, incentives, and policies related to renewable energy and battery storage
• Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and project summaries
• Maintain organized project files and databases
• Participate in internal development meetings and support cross-functional coordination
• Provide inputs for project assessment to inform investment decisions
Job Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics, Business, or a related field
Experience:
• Internship or academic experience in renewable energy, energy policy, or infrastructure development preferred
• Familiarity with solar energy fundamentals and project lifecycle is a plus
Skills:
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of GIS tools, AutoCAD, or PVsyst is a plus
• Intermediate Level Of English
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative
Work Environment and Travel:
• Primarily office-based with the possibility of remote work (2 days)
• Occasional travel to project sites or stakeholder meetings (approximately 20%)
