Latam Project Finance Manager

Mission

The purpose of the Latam Project Finance Manager role is to lead the execution of renewable energy project financing in Latin America. This position involves designing the strategy for structuring and securing the necessary financing to implement the company’s business plan.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the CFO Latam and Global Head of Project Finance, define the strategy and take the necessary steps to execute financing under the Project Finance scheme within the approved investment case timelines and profitability terms.
• Provide early-stage support to the Commercial and Project Development teams in selecting, analyzing, and evaluating projects that best meet the company’s investment and bankability criteria.
• Effectively manage relationships with financial institutions and institutional investors to gather all necessary inputs for project evaluation. Additionally, coordinate internally with various company areas involved in the due diligence process, such as Development, Commercial, Controlling, EPC, etc.
• Review financial models, including valuation, cash flows, and IRRs.
• Collaborate with Development and Commercial teams in preparing memos for investment committees.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10 years of overall professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Project Finance within the Energy or Infrastructure/Concessions sector.
• Proven experience in financial closings, ideally in renewable energy, with both local and international banks.
• Strong experience and proficiency in reviewing financial models.
• Experience in the electricity sector in Chile, Peru, and Colombia is a plus.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced Spanish and English skills.
