Mission

En Zelestra, we are looking for our next Project Manager to join the Development team in Chile. The main mission of the position will be to manage a project portfolio from a development perspective, coordinate due diligence activities for the acquisition of projects in development or operational assets, and/or supervise Co-development contracts. In line with this, the role will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects and activities of project development until the construction phase begins, including but not limited to land selection, environmental studies, permits, engineering, stakeholder management, network access management, and other requirements associated with financial closing. The goal is to contribute to the development of the renewable energy project pipeline and thus support the achievement of the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Country Director as the development lead in the country, with the development and management of the development pipeline in line with corporate growth goals.
  • Coordinate the development of assigned projects to advance them to a Ready to Build state on time, within budget, and to the quality standards required by Zelestra.
  • Identify and communicate project risks and propose risk mitigation strategies to the development team.
  • Identify optimal land for project development, considering construction, logistical, and resource variables. Complement these variables with information on grid interconnection, environmental, and social aspects to make recommendations, in coordination with other company areas.
  • Process and coordinate key project permits and contracts to achieve a Ready to Build status, in coordination with other company areas.
  • Maintain communication with public and private administration personnel, agencies, and other entities for the processing of permits required by the projects, as well as manage community engagement for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and lead the processing of grid interconnection and negotiation of interconnection contracts.
  • Coordinate and lead the drafting of studies and technical documentation with the technical team: production studies, designs, budgets.
  • Support the construction area in construction aspects, contract negotiations, and potential claims with contractors.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Civil Engineering (any specialty), Architecture, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in general.
  • Over 6 years of experience in renewable energy companies, leading solar and/or other technology projects.
  • Relevant experience in utility-scale project development (required).
