Mission

Your mission will be to guarantee the design, analysis and technical supervision of high-voltage electrical installations, ensuring their correct integration into the electricity grid. Carrying out grid studies that optimise the performance, safety and regulatory compliance of projects, contributing to an efficient and sustainable energy transition.

Responsabilities

  • Contracting of specialised studies.
  • Meetings with Utilities.
  • Carrying out electrical studies with advanced level management of electrical studies SW (mainly Digsilent) although other SW such as PSCAD and/or ETAP will be valued: Load flow, Short circuit, Coordination of protections, Harmonic studies, Calculation of losses, Earthing.
  • Power quality studies.
  • Dynamic studies: Frequency regulation. Active power control. Reactive power control. Response to voltage dips. Transient stability. Oscillation damping (POD). Inertia emulation. Validation of dynamic models.
  • Analysis and evaluation of international grid codes for application to solar plants and plant dimensioning for compliance.
  • Analysis of stationary applications with storage systems.
  • Sizing and design of energy applications with storage.
  • Collaborate in the fulfilment of the objectives and goals of Quality, M&S and AM established by the management.
  • Know and comply with the regulations, manuals and procedures that affect their work.

 

 

Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering (preferably with specialisation in High Voltage, Renewable Energies or similar).
  • Master's degree or additional studies in areas related to substations, electricity grids, renewable energies or energy management.
  • Languages: Advanced level of English, especially technical (B2/C1).
  • Minimum experience of 3-5 years in a similar position.
  • Knowledge and experience in projects for the integration of renewable energies (especially photovoltaic and wind) into the electricity grid.Knowledge of the High Voltage Regulation, specific substation regulations and regulations applicable to photovoltaic installations. For example, IEC, IEEE, local standards, etc.
  • Experience in the use of simulation and electrical analysis software, such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, etc.
