MISSION

Reporting to the EPC Director, the subcontracting manager will be responsible for the EPC subcontracting area of the company, subcontracting the different construction works in the execution of our EPC projects. 

 

You will provide an efficient and high quality service in the identification and contracting of subcontractors, under criteria of effectiveness and efficiency, according to the Purchasing and Contracting Management Procedure approved by the Company, analysing and anticipating purchasing and contracting needs through project Purchasing Plans, identifying savings opportunities to achieve synergies that directly influence the balance sheet via cost reduction, optimising the relationship with suppliers from an ethical, economic and service quality point of view and ensuring that the selection and contracting of suppliers complies with internal regulations.

Countries perimeter are Spain, Italy and LATAM.

 

The subcontracting manager will be the ambassador of Zelestra's values, the organisation's priorities, the transmission of measurable objectives to the business units' programmes and leading the execution of Zelestra's strategy. This person will promote the transformation of the culture towards a high-performance culture in a multi-technology environment (wind, photovoltaic, BESS and green hydrogen).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development and implementation of the strategic subcontracting plan for Zelestra's project portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cooperation and delivery of project objectives.
  • Organise targeted supplier and contractor development campaigns for Zelestra's growing volume of projects and in areas or countries of new presence for the Company.
  • Planning, managing and coordinating subcontracting for each project by developing a project-specific Sourcing Plan.
  • Preparation of requests for quotations (RFQs), monitoring and analysis of bids. Carrying out commercial tabulations.
  • Identify and select subcontractors based on quality, cost and capacity criteria.
  • Negotiate and close contractual agreements with subcontractors for critical or larger project jobs.
  • Coordinate the preparation of subcontracting monitoring reports for each project.
  • Monitor subcontractors' compliance with the terms of the contract.
  • Coordinate with the implementation team to continuously evaluate the performance of subcontractors in order to improve processes and future results.
  • Manage changes and modifications to subcontracting contracts.
  • Act as a point of contact between the company and subcontractors to resolve disputes or disagreements
  • Develop a procedure to ensure that all contracts and agreements with subcontractors are recorded, maintained and properly updated by the team.
  • Ensure that all incidents and corrective actions taken are documented.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field; MBA or higher degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in procurement and subcontracting in Southern Europe and Latin America.  
  • Extensive knowledge of the SEU and Latam market, industry contacts and existing network.
  • High level of written and spoken English, C1.
  • More than five years of experience with a proven track record of success in the PV sector.  
  • High level of procurement and contract negotiation skills, with industry experience required.
