On Site Interconnection Quality Technician

Mission

At Zelestra, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer with experience in on-site quality management and control for the construction of a substation and transmission line of a solar project, to join our Quality team for a significant project in the Tarapacá Region as a Interconnections Quality Control Technician. Your main mission will be, focusing on Substations and AT Lines, to coordinate and supervise quality management on the project, ensuring compliance with regulatory, administrative, and technical requirements by project areas and contractors, and ensuring the development and compliance of the project's quality plan according to defined standards and company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the execution of the project's Quality Plan.
• Coordinating and controlling the development of procedures required to obtain the Provisional Acceptance Certificate from Contractors.
• On-site Quality Control considering the work execution schedule and addressing potential deficiencies detected or foreseen, or other considerations such as the importance of the unit/equipment.
• Verify, through metric and/or visual inspections, that the Quality Assurance process is being followed by the Contractor and the Works Management during the execution of works in Substations and AT Lines.
• Reviewing on-site quality documentation and identifying missing quality documentation to be delivered by Contractors (calibration certificates, quality certificates, test results, PPI).
• Receive and approve, from a Quality standpoint and in accordance with Project specifications, various materials delivered to the site.
• Supervising PPI with conducted inspections.
• Verifying test development as indicated in the Project Technical Specifications, Quality Plan, and applicable regulations.
• Initiating and drafting documentation of any Non-Conformities (NC) deemed necessary.
• Monitoring Quality-related Non-Conformities generated on site.
• Reporting all incidents to the Quality Coordinator for documentation in reports, as well as the opening of non-conformities.

Requirements

• Electrical Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Execution Engineering, specialized in power electrical systems (mandatory).
• At least 5 years of experience in roles such as Quality Supervisor, Quality Manager, or similar roles, for electrical construction projects.
• Demonstrable experience in Quality Management roles for electrical projects, ideally AT.
• Exclusive experience in Electrical Substations / AT Lines.
• Knowledge of ISO standards.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Advanced Autocad skills.
• Class B driver's license.
• Availability to work on-site at the construction project in the Tarapacá Region (Pozo Almonte).
