On Site Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator

Mission

At Zelestra, we are looking for an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Coordinator to join the Safety, Health & Environment team within the Operations Directorate of Zelestra, to be part of an important project underway in the Tarapacá region.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, implement, and control occupational risk prevention management systems on an ongoing basis.
• Develop the safety and health plans and programs for the project.
• Advise the management team.
• Promote prevention on-site with workers.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work procedures.
• Propose measures for risk control and reduction in the project, as well as train workers with preventive and/or corrective actions.
• Perform control activities and manage documentation related to risk prevention.
• Execute the work plan and the project’s training program.
• Monitor compliance with legal requirements and other project-related requirements.
• Carry out safety and health reporting (indicator calculations, reports).

Requirements

• Professional degree in Occupational Health & Safety or similar.
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering companies performing similar functions.
• Proven experience in construction projects (mandatory).
• Experience in renewable energy projects (highly desirable).
• Experience in applying occupational risk management systems with local laws, both on-site and administratively.
• Knowledge in:
  • Structural and electrical assembly.
  • Lifting operations and related components.
  • Waste management.
• Intermediate English.
• Proficiency in Office Excel and Word.
• Driver’s license with at least 4 years of driving experience.

• Availability to work on-site in Pozo Almonte, Tarapacá Region.
