Mission

At Zelestra, we are looking for an On Site Civil Control Inspector with professional experience working in on-site quality control to join the Quality team for a significant project in the Tarapacá Region. Your main mission will be to supervise the proper execution of civil works within the project, ensuring compliance with regulatory, administrative, and technical requirements. Experience in concrete control, earthworks, and laboratory testing is required. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance of the project's quality plan on-site according to defined standards and company guidelines.

Responsibilities

 

  • Conducting quality control on-site while considering the work schedule and addressing any identified or anticipated deficiencies or other considerations related to unit/team importance.
  • Verifying through metric and/or visual inspections that the Contractor and Project Management are adhering to the Quality Assurance process during civil works execution.
  • Reviewing quality documentation generated on-site and identifying any missing quality documentation that Contractors need to provide (calibration certificates, quality certificates, test results, PPI).
  • Receiving and approving materials delivered to the site from a Quality perspective and in accordance with Project specifications.
  • Supervising PPIs (Preventive and Predictive Inspections) through conducted inspections.
  • Ensuring that tests are conducted as per Project Technical Specifications, Quality Plan, and applicable regulations.
  • Reporting all incidents to the Quality Technician to document them in reports, including the opening of non-conformities.
  • Handling quality document management.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Construction, Construction Management, or related field. Candidates with  technical background may also apply.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in roles related to quality management for construction projects in the energy/industrial sector.
  • Experience in solar companies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Advanced AutoCAD skills.
  • Class B driver's license.
  • Availability to work on-site at a construction project in the Tarapacá Region (Pozo Almonte).
