On Site Quality Control Technician

Mission

At Zelestra, we are looking for an Electrical or Industrial Engineer with professional experience in on-site quality management and control in solar construction projects to join our Quality team for a significant project in the Tarapacá Region as a Construction Quality Technician. Your main mission will be to lead, coordinate, and supervise quality management on the project, ensuring compliance with regulatory, administrative, and technical requirements by project areas and contractors. This includes guaranteeing the implementation and adherence to the project's quality plan according to defined standards and company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating the execution of the project's Quality Plan.
• Coordinating and controlling the development of procedures required for obtaining the Provisional Acceptance Certificate from the Client and Contractors.
• Scheduling Quality Control management on site, considering work execution schedules and addressing potential deficiencies or other considerations related to unit/equipment importance.
• Coordinating and supervising the tasks of the Quality Inspectors team on site, including personnel management duties.
• Preparing and presenting internal and client Quality reports, attending necessary follow-up meetings.
• Reviewing on-site quality documentation and identifying missing quality documentation to be delivered by Contractors (calibration certificates, quality certificates, test results, PPI).
• Inspecting and approving, from a Quality standpoint and in accordance with Project specifications, various materials delivered to site.
• Supervising PPI with conducted inspections.
• Verifying test development in accordance with Project Technical Specifications, Quality Plan, and applicable regulations.
• Initiating and drafting Non-Conformance documentation as deemed necessary.
• Monitoring Quality-related Non-Conformance generated on site.
• Ensuring compliance with the Integrated Management System within assigned tasks scope.

Requirements

• Electrical or Industrial Engineering degree or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in roles such as Quality Supervisor, Quality Manager, or similar roles for renewable energy projects in construction.
• Demonstrable experience in Quality Management roles for energy/solar projects.
• Knowledge of ISO standards.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Advanced Autocad skills.
• Class B driver's license.
• Availability to work on-site at the construction project in the Tarapacá Region (Pozo Almonte).
