Responsibilities

  • Project Development: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including power purchase agreements, EPC and equipment procurement, leases and land acquisition/lease documents. .
  • Project Finance:  Assist in the financing of renewable energy projects, including tax equity and IRA related finance matters. .
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):  Advise the commercial team in the acquisition of development stage renewable energy projects, including due diligence and document  negotiation.
  • Corporate Governance:  Assist in corporate governance and decision making, including at the investment committee and board level.  Asist in entity formation and management.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with renewable energy projects.

Job Requirements

  • Education: J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Admission to the bar in a U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of legal experience, with a focus on development, M&A or project finance.
  • Prior experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Strong negotiation and  drafting, skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
